GARROS: Named after French pilot Roland Garros

A squared aviator shape with cut-out outside bottom corners.

Reimagined from the Max Pittion archives. Construction is the same as the 1950s
frame, but substitutes Japanese titanium for material-covered Monel.HAND MADE IN JAPAN BY LEGENDARY CRAFTSMEN.

Shapes are created in 3mm striped lined rim stock topped with a flat
titanium bridge bar that overlaps and welds from the back of the rim.
The bridge bar is sandwiched in an acetate cover, stamped with “MAX
PITTION” and fixed with torx screws. The nose bridge is a slightly curved
double-line pressed configuration. The nose pad arms overlap and weld
just below and onto the rim front for strength.
The arms have a horizontal return for easy shaping and a vertical drop to
the nose pad mechanical holder. The actual nose pads are titanium in a
tapered, elongated square shape—thinner at the top and wider at the
bottom.
They have the MAX pattern pressed to a raised format and an outer line
that delineates the shape. The front connections, pressed with the same
pattern as the nose bridge, curve back to accept the temple
